There’s something so aesthetically pleasing about fluid dynamics. Maybe it’s the enveloping, surrounding force of water. Maybe it’s simply my contextual experience with water being refreshing.
Inside of us, there’s obviously a desire for water, as it’s a necessary part of survival. So maybe my aesthetic appreciation for it stems from my natural need for it, in a similar way to how I experience attraction towards a person.
Photographing the shifting water is a calming process. Water has refractive, caustic qualities that disperse light in the most elegant way. Shimmering moments of air bubbles, particles, and ripples.
It’s no surprise that water, the divine source of life that it is, is so beautiful. Reflective of both its purpose and the surrounding sky.
